Major League Baseball, also known as MLB, is one of the four professional team sports leagues in North America. It consists of teams that play in the American League (AL) and National League (NL), both based in the United States.
The AL and NL each consist of three divisions: Easts, Centrals, and Wests. With its history dating back to 1876, MLB is the oldest professional sports league still in operation with teams from both the US and Canada.
